George Cooper is a Partner at Forbes Tate Partners – and was also a Partner at FTP’s predecessor firm, Cauthen, Forbes & Williams having joined in 2009. Mr. Cooper leads the firm’s natural resource and outdoor recreation government affairs practice. Prior to joining Forbes Tate Partners, George served as President and CEO of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP) – a groundbreaking coalition of the nation’s premier hunting, fishing, and conservation organizations founded to give the sportsman-conservationist voice greater resonance in federal policymaking.
Throughout his more than seven years at TRCP, both as CEO and as Vice President for Policy and Communications, Mr. Cooper helped to create a new strategic advocacy niche in Washington for the nation’s 40 million hunters and anglers.
Before joining TRCP, Mr. Cooper worked for CNN for more than a decade, including serving as Senior Producer for prominent public affairs shows like “Evans and Novak,” “Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer,” and “Reliable Sources.”
